Stress

According to the medical dictionary, “Stress is the body's normal response to anything that disturbs its natural physical, emotional, or mental balance.” People talk about feeling stressed out about their work, the economy, global politics, deadlines, their relationships, and just about everything else.

While most of us know stress is a problem, it is not something outside of us; it doesn't exist in the environment or in external situations without our own thoughts or actions governing how it impacts on us.

Our thoughts, our choices and the story we tell ourselves create stress that has a physical impact.

Pain, disease and illness is usually the result of a combination of all the stressors in your life - physical, chemical and emotional - layered upon each other. Spinal blockages caused by our inability to process life’s three major stressors (physical stress, chemical stress and emotional stress) can have devastating effects on human health and wellbeing. Your nervous system – the brain, spinal cord and nerves – control and coordinate everything in your body. When your nerve energy flows abundantly without obstruction, your body and mind are self-communicating, self-healing and self-regulating. When blockages impede nerve flow, you are no longer functioning at an optimal level and health and vitality are compromised.

Spinal Flow Technique moves the body from a stress zone into a healing zone – or from the sympathetic response into a parasympathetic response –and frees up your life force to flow and enable healing to happen. All living beings possess a natural healing intelligence that has the ability to maintain and sustain life. This intelligence is what moves us into a state of ease and wellbeing. It is contained within the nervous system and travels along the spine, feeding every cell in our body. If our nervous system becomes blocked, overloaded or stressed, then this natural healing intelligence is disrupted, creating pain, dis-ease or illness. When we reinstate this flow, we create Spinal Flow, the optimal place to transform our wellbeing.

With greater awareness and understanding of your body and the stress you experience, you can start to live a life feeling good, with more energy, less pain and more happiness. It is my hope that you will come to understand that every choice you have made, and every life experience that has happened, is not separate from you or the position you are in right now. It is time to understand your body more, so you can move towards greater health and healing.
